Despite the gloomy forecast for Sunday, Avondale Speedway saw a huge turnout of cars and spectators. The Feature Races were run under sunny skies to finish the days races.

Heat races were won by Jordie White, Bernie Mason, Rod Noseworthy, Lloyd Traverse, Jason Neville and Wayne Walsh.

The Powder Puff Race was won by defending champion Amy Dunne of Renews, Smantha Walsh was a close second but went wide in turn three and rolled over. Cyntia Williams then took over second place but ran out of time in her pursuit of Dunne. Corrina Whalen of Little Heart's Ease was third, followed by Sheila Button(Pouch Cove) and Tina Kavanaugh(Shearstown).

The Thunder Feature race had Jimmy Stevenson leading the most laps but mechanical difficulties caused him to drop to 5th at the end. Steven Peach who had been on Stevensons bumper took over the lead and went on for the win. Art Goodyear who had been working his way through traffic got second followed by Shane Nichols in third and Justin Linehan in 4th.

The Lightning Feature had a battle for the lead going between Traverse, Neville, Petten and Murphy. Murphy's engine exploded on lap 8th resulting in his car being engulfed in flames. He managed to get the car to the pits where the blaze was extinguished. On the restart Neville who had been leading the race began to drop off the pace. Traverse then took over the lead and went on to take the checkered flag. Traverse was followed accross the finish line by Fraser Petten and Corey Bishop.

The Super Stock main event had Wayne Walsh leading the most laps but an accident between Walsh and Robson sent Walsh to the Pits and Robson to the Checkered Flag. Gerald Hicks followed Robsoon accross the line. Walsh finished third and David Bishop was 4th.
