| The true definition of "gay" means to be happy! If that's the case, Leafs GM Brian Burke's son Brendan must be a "happy" guy! Of course, we all know that's not what people refer to when the word gay is involved! Personally, I think it's freakin' hilarious! Here's rough, tough and gruff Brian Burke supporting his openly gay son! Of course, the media here(TSN, SportsNet, etc.) is portraying Brendan Burke as some kind of hero and praising him for being brave and that kind of stuff! The thing is, if he was the son of a person involved with any other team in the league, the media here would treat him and this story with uneasiness and apprehension! But he's the son of a Toronto Maple Leafs executive, so that makes everything alright! Of course, they couldn't come right out and condemn someone for being gay, as you'd have all these gay rights groups whining and crying left and right, but they sure wouldn't make him out to be some kind of hero! I can just see all the Hab-haters and the stuff they'd post on here if that was Bob Gainey's son that was gay! They say that there may be gay athetes in many sports that we don't know about! I think that if I was a pro athelete, upon hearing this, I'd wait and take my post-game shower when I get home or back to the hotel, just to be safe!
