I said I'd stay around until at least til the finals are over, and then I don't even mention it in any of my posts! Wat up wit dat? Pretty good game last night, but you'd figure the teams would tighten it up after the backyard ball hockey game that was game one! I didn't see the game live, as I was at the races, but found it kind of amusing when they'd give updates! 1-1, 2-2, 4-3, 4-4, 5-5, stuff like that! As the score kept getting higher, I was wondering if the goalies were Roman Cechmanek and Murray Bannerman! Or Garth Snow for Philly and maybe the Hawks called Darren Pang out of the TSN booth to strap on the pads! Both goalies played very well last night, though! Can't figure why Philly would dress Carcillo! Sure, he brings energy and stuff, but takes dumb penalties! Besides, this is the finals, EVERYBODY should be playing with tons of energy! If you're not by now, it's time to find another line of work! Still waiting for the Pronger-Big Buff matchup to materialize, and it will! Philly played well last night and just as easily could've won that game, but they didn't, and every loss is a game you don't get back, especially at this point of the playoffs! Should be good the rest of the way!

There are just soooooo many hockey fans in Nfld! Geez, don't everybody post at once! Is it because there are no Newfoundlanders on either team?

i have been watching the 1st game was a strannge game the 2nd was pretty good the flyers could be up 2 going home for games 3 n 4 but there not.the hawks better play in philly if not they may head back home knotted up at 2.i think the flyers will be better at home with the last change they will be able to match pronger up against there top guns more.dont think line matching in this series has meant that much yet.as for carcillo he wasnt to bad in game 2 didnt take any bad penalties that i could see.he is a bit of a jerk i think.hawks in 6.how were the races this weekend past?people r saying its not looking good for the superstock class at AVS this year that will be a downer.couple of guys i know r leaving for philly thus.morning for the weekend.going to the game to.they r die hard flyer fans.

I know alot of fans that are like that, too! Most people I know don't follow it as much if there are no Canadian teams playing! Personally, I would like to see the Hawks win, because I've always liked Chicago, I just don't like Philly and it would leave Toronto with the longest Cup drought! Excellent modified race at Brockville Saturday between Stephane Lafrance and Danny O'Brien, with Steph holding him off for a very popular win! It wouldn't be good if Avondale lost its top class, but maybe the other classes would improve, because maybe some of the drivers that couldn't afford a superstock will race in one of the other classes! By the sounds of things, the other classes don't seem to be lacking cars! As for Carcillo, he did take a dumb unsportsmanlike penalty in game two when the Flyers were going to go on the powerplay!

Good game last night, one in which the Flyers absolutely had to win! I know they rallied from down 0-3 to the Bruins, but this isn't Boston!

The bigger Hawks forwards have to be more physical with Pronger(and the other d-men as well)! He's big and strong but has shown in the past that he'll take dumb penalties! The thing with Pronger is you can't let him get in your head! Sure he's a big and rough, but a good part of his game is mental! The thing is, if you don't let him get in your head, he MAY GO mental!

Personally, I'd like to see big Buff or one of the other bigger Hawks forwards knock that big goof into(or through) the glass a few times! Wipe that stupid grin from his face! Then we'll see what kind of smart-ass comments he makes! I never cared for a Pronger as a player, but it hasn't been until recently that I've realized what an ignorant jerk he is off the ice as well!

if he played for the habs most habs fans would say he is the best dmen in the game.a 1st ballet hall of famer for sure.big buff cant do it.maybe he is full of himself and a little arrogant but prongers play has backed it uo so far this playoff season.

reider, you never disappoint me! When I posted my comments about Pronger, even before I clicked on "submit", I knew you'd have something to say about the Habs! Typical Hab-hater! I don't like Pronger, never have, never will! If he played for the Habs, you'd call a "dirtbag" on a daily basis! Oh, but I forgot, Habs fans aren't allowed to say anything about other players! We don't have the same rights as other fans, how silly of me to forget that! Hab-haters or fans of other teams can say what they want about any player or team, but heaven forbid a Habs fan saying what they feel! I don't care what Pronger does or how he plays, he's an arrogant jerk, plain and simple! I can tell you something else too....there are many fans of many teams who feel exactly the same as I do! Oh, but I'm a Habs fan....I'm not allowed to think that way! We just have to watch and keep our mouths shut, right!

have to agree with reider on this one.pronger has won the cup olympic gold norris trophy and world juniors i think.he has backed it up.anybody on the habs with those credentials you would be shouting his name from the highest building in montreal.just like you never shutup about the 24 cups they have won.almost 20 years since there last one and fans have to listen to you guys shoot off about that anytime a hockey conversation starts.so if you are going to shootoff your faces you should be man or woman enough to listen when you get critized.oh yeah your habs fans you cant take criticisim.MAYBE YOU SHOULD KNOCK MY GRAMMAR LIKE YOU KNOCKED REIDERS ARITHMETIC.

You appear as though you may have some issues! I don't care if Pronger has won the Nobel Peace Prize....he is still an arrogant jerk! I stand by everything I said in that post! If you were to read many of my posts over the years, you would realize that I hardly ever mention the Habs unless somebody mentions them first, usually in a last than flattering manor! Yes, it is my God-given right to speak my mind and say what the hell I want! If you would pay attention, you would see that I criticize the Habs alot when they're not playing well! They have players on the team I wish they'd get rid of! I find the main problem with Hab-haters is they tend to paint all Habs fans with the same brush! I know, there are Habs fans who are the way you say they are, but there are a great many who are not that way at all, just like the fans of EVERY team! People have to realize there are probably more Habs fans out there than fans of any other team, so you're going to get all kinds! I wish people would just do their homework at least a little bit before posting, especially regarding comments about me! And for God's sake, think of a name to use when posting! It can't be THAT hard, can it?

hey little buddy what u think about the habs trading Halak to the blues? he was going to be a rfa in a couple of weeks do you think they got enough in return or do you think they should have resigned him.if someone had signed a offer sheet for big money they would have got good compensation for him.guess its jesus prices team now.

I guess we will find out in a few months! Halak played well in the playoffs, but I have never been sold on European goalies for the long-term!

Montreal picked up a couple of young prospects, but they may have also "reaquired" a goalie in the process! Let me explain....I still feel that Price will be a top goaltender in the league for the Habs, but he has what I like to call "Patrick Roy Syndrome"! Okay, I'm not comparing Price to Roy as far as their careers go! Patrick was one of the greatest goalies of all-time, while Price has a long, long ways to go to have that type of career! However, there is one area in which they are very similar! Patrick Roy was never as good a goalie when he was pushed for the number one spot! Price also appears to be that way! Some goalies thrive when pushed(Luongo, for example), while others are more relaxed and play better when they don't have to look towards the bench if they happen to let in a softy to see if the back-up is putting on the mask! I could be way off the mark here, but this is certainly how it appears! Who knows, Brodeur may not have been as good if he had been pushed for his spot at various times over the years! He sure wasn't that good when Luongo pushed for the number one spot at the Olympics! Roy was never pushed in Colorado! As for Halak, Price would've done just as well in this year's playoffs when he's on his game, especially the way the Habs tightened up and were blocking shots! The thing for Price is there are no excuses now, the job is his and we'll see how he handles it!

money saved by not resigning halak will have to be used to try and resign plekance and maybe some more size up front on the wings and possibly centre.

Definitely, they need more size up front! If it came down to doing one or the other, I'd rather see them sign a couple power forwards than re-sign Plekanec! The Habs are alot like your Sabres....skilled up front but not alot of size!
