Again i still stand by the firm belief teams get better and teams get worse but lets be real with ourselves...
1.Real students of the game know that Football is a game of matchups...just because team A beats team B, and team b beats team C doesnt mean team A can beat team C. You have to play the game! Your name is not what makes you able to beat a team.
2. For any of us who start a team, you know that your team is based upon who you can actually get to the game. And in tournaments because its just a weekend, teams are able to aquire the best talent around to compete for that weekend...
So what im getting at is of course i hear these "top teams" are the reason to join other leagues but take a look at this
..Gladiators are a tournament teams with players all over the country, do you really think thats the team you will be competing against? rockets even on that team and the gladiators are even made fun of on the real deal site as...THEY ARE NOT A TRUE NEW YORK TEAM! Again choose where you want to play but look into the advertising not just the flashing lights. Even i am being told by Maine event (NY) that they are 110% coming to the hffl but i will never say they are in the league because of their distance and a few reasons above. and just to be even, gladiatiors might still have a great team
...original Gators, hope he doesnt kill me for this but i was informed by a member of the southington knights,that this gator team was done, from age and talent and the (fall) waterbury league was no longer competitive because of it...to the point they were supposed to combine with the chargers to make the team complete...Another top team????
...Nec...falls in the same category as the gladiatiors in my view...Is the superstar team they get to travel going to be the same team to travel to CT every week or every other week?
...Trojans... strong team cant say nothing about them i believe their option is better for them for their location as its much easier to get there and good luck
...knights...oh how i love this team lol...but just to get under their skin...no playoff wins in the hffl fold under pressure lol jk... but location would be a HUGE benefit for them to play elsewhere and i wish them luck and hope they will join our league this spring and in the future
...Steelers are hartfords team...havent heard if they will not be playing in hartford but this is just going by reading flashing lights lol...but again not the same team in the past few seasons..and could be revamping with new talent but again, with no disrespect, just going by the past few seasons just an "average" team as of whats been put out there the past few seasons... and the abscence of colavito could be costly or who knows maybe whats best for the steelers and they could be better than ever..
I just want to point out to the customers to read between the lines, some leagues have a competitive advantage to their location, and i definitly want those teams to play where its EASIER for them to travel to..Thats just my style...Some people hate me for it and love me for it,,, but im a straight shooter as you can see by most of my post..

We lost to the Steelers in the playoffs with them coming off a game before us. if you dont think having a game to warmup and get into the flow is beneficial then I'm not sure what you know. Bottom line is all that you have in your league for a temptation at a competitive look is the Young Gunz. Let me go on record saying. The Young Gunz will win the HFFL again. Call me Ishtradamus. As far as distance of travel goes we will travel as strong to hartford as we will to waterbury. The perks of waterbury are better refs. Better priced package with more to offer. MCFFU points. which wont matter to anybody but the Gunz because most of the guys in the league think the only game in town is Hartford. Hate to break it to all you guys who arent schooled up to the flag game, The Waterbury league in the fall has been running since 1983. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. As for the comment about us saying the GATORS are washed up. Absolutely erroneous. If that was a true statement Cash which Knight said it to you. That Gators team that we played in the Chip would handily beat every team in your league, and go blow for blow with the gunz. If you think any team in your league besides the gunz can beat them, Ill put up 300 towards the GATORS. In a full two hour long waterbury timed game. Make it happen. Bottom line is if you could actually get together with Chris and offer him something other than running tournys that CT flag will be on a whole new level. Im not sure why you assume hartford people cant leave or play sports outside of hartford, its a recession and maybe people think its financially better to play sports closest to them. i dont think thats just the city of hartford. And im pretty sure you know that most players in the league dont even live in hartford or work there. which is why i even have encouraged in posts that you guys (the knights)play in waterbury. why wouldnt you guys want people and teams to come to you, its just a better smart move by you guys.
as far as price my league is $no nore than 50-75 dollars more than the other league and offers much more...

Stop getting caught up in me fighting chris when i said i offered him help...if you check my facebook page dayz and dayz ago, it says, my competitor is trying to compete against me and i dont want to compete....
This new feud stemmed from the attacks on my league that you guys dont see, that started right after chris backed out on combining the leagues...another fact you dont know. Chris was combining leagues until 1 day before his meeting and then changed his mind... the next day many attacks on the hffl began on my site and the real deal site. so i was forced to fight back!
In conclusion why would i need to take out my opponent in an area i dont want to reach. It would be like the U.S. invading the north pole. I wouldnt want to make waterbury teams come to hartford out of spite. This football thing is a business but its also a hobby i like. Some people may want to see this light while others will sulk in this misery that is being created...like i said i have to protect my league but it was clearly apparent that chris wants to take everything over with calling off the merger and beginning the attacks. You say fight him...what for? im on defense now dont need to take the waterbury teams its a recession play where its closer... Why do you keep insisting that i wanted to fight chris is that what your getting force fed until you believe it.Look at my resume. when i told ray ill take his league over. it was a hostile take over...Im more than capable of taking over waterbury...But the fact is...i dont want to.

but back to this thread about football...tournaments and leagues are equally as tough.....leagues take persistance..teams who can show up week in and week out with a competitive team...tournaments take just 1 weekend at a time but teams are able to form allstar teams because of the less commitment a tournament requires...
i also made this mistake when noticing that the tournaments had a bunch of older players on it...altho older they were smart, and since they were older, weekend tournaments would be beneficial to them as they are sure to have families and jobs
when markting to teams in the alantic city tourn. such as the packers...they told me they dont even have a league but they do have an 8 man eligible league...why because seasons are a marathons, tournaments are sprints both in dedication and the time itself..
Game times...tournament games are a total of 44 minutes...while in our league 1 half is 35 minutes for a total of 70 minutes. so to summarize 1 game in the tournament is about just half of our games in league play
flag football is an older mans sport on the national cicuit, but dont take this as a lack of talent, cuz they are smart and good players...but try to get those teams to play for 13 consecutive weeks while playing double as many minutes per game...and those teams more than likely will not be able to be persistant, not cause of their talent but because of of the rigours of a real regular season and a real life at home..
and to the bet...honestly ish, i probably honestly cant make that bet, because one, i do hear that the gators are older so they probably could win 1 game.... but the marathon season...they couldnt take it...id have hit squad beat up on them hhahahahahahahahahahahaha
and also, you guys come from leagues with no rosters or roster control so most likely they could form an all star team (like the tourney teams i just discussed) just to beat a team 1 time...
in summary its like whos the greater athlete, 4.3 forty yard dash sprinter, the 3 minute mile guy, or the 3 hour marathon runner... there all great!
tournaments and seasons are 2 different animals
and ish i even recall you saying your jv team had to come to hartford a few times becuz players coulndnt make it, like the game fearnun almost beat you...at least thats what you told me on the sidelines...season takes way more dedication brother

im assuming you may be younger than me, but let me tell you something about sports...you have to lace up the shoes to prove whos best. Not trying to be sarcastic but you really have to.in myself taking over the league i noticed that teams were being catered to and givin special treatment by their actions toward me the other teams and refs. I needed to put an end to this because as a businessman if i catered to top teams, if they left there would be nothing... Ray, chris, and whoever else ran leagues always only marketed that certain teams were good which is why they never had many teams..
But me... i promoted that any teams could be beat and will be beat, and teams would improve. Help teams create the formulas to success, with stats and updates about teams and the league. My first idea??? Put a bounty on the Steelers. Let the league know that the comissioner had no favortism and promoted the teams to believe...Steelers have lost more games in the 2 seasons ive run the league then they lost in the past 5 or 6 seasons and no chips!...Worked to perfection!
I cant tell you who the top teams are in the league, because they havent played the games yet. All i can tell you is that the young gunz are the champions thats it!
Since your team is entering the MCFFU circuit...you should check some recent history of the mcffu...The top team omni tried to convince the whole mcffu to switch to the ustfl tournament circuit. He called every top team and bashed the mcffu, and said we are the top team so follow us cuz if you dont beat us it means your no good...Sound like anyone????? yeah you know....Guess what the MCFFUS response was....they banned that team because it was hazardous to the game...Because the game is bigger than the teams.. BANNED THEM FROM THE WHOLE CIRCUIT!.tHIS WAS JUST 60 DAYS AGO
The mcffus owner is a pretty smart guy and we have the same ideas...im not going to ban any teams like them, but if teams leave they leave, you cant tell me who the top teams are. The teams create the top teams by playing the game! so no i dont know how many "top teams" are playing

Shank most teams in Hartford haven't beaten the Gators only because they haven't played the Gators. As far as all the "so called comp" is playing in Waterbury, Nobody neva stated the fact that majority of teams playing in that league have been playing together for five or more years let's get serious on that topic. Steelers,Knights,Bulldogs, Young Gunz and Gators been together way longer than teams like Franchise, CT Tribe, Hit Squad, Assassins and Wolverines who have been together for two years or less so before people start saying the Hartford league is "Garbage" jus remember majority of those teams are building experience. It's the same stage that Bulldogs, Steelers, Young Gunz and all those other teams went through

Thats every other flag football commissioners style...im not a follower..lol been a leader my whole entire short life...i could easily just sell football and put together a schedule...but you can play other places for that lol...IM DIFFERENT! hahahahahhaha
just curious...how many teams were in the leagues you played in when the gatorz were on this great run?...Im seriously asking you not joking around i just want to know.

And for your info smart guy we beat everyone except the Young Gunz as the gators in the spring 09 and as the chargers we won the fall. Look it up. And Chris is good. I heard Cash was terrible. just read your post sportscenter...some people will never get it....they just want every team to be frozen in time.... they think the worst teams will stay terrible and the best teams will stay on top.....THIS IS IMPOSSBLE! but again no one was helping teams figure things out or encourage them to compete with the best until yours truly came along, ...again i only started playing flag becasues someone told me it was impossible to make a team in 2 weeks and win any games...proved them wrong!..

@Sportscenter- I never said any team was garbage in any league. I responded the Gators name being mentioned. Thats it. As far as teams just and not playing us, I feel you on that but as the Gators we one our first league and tourney we were in. I am glad to see more teams developing and playing. It makes things fun.
@Cash- I like the hustle but I am just letting you know that if you are going the be the head of something there are ways to do things. Are you hood business or grown up business is what I'm asking? Hood businees doesn't leave the hood too much. You gotta be more tactful with certain things. When we went on that run in the spring and lost there were 23 teams. when we won in the fall there were 12 teams.

don't know what's hood about trash talk in a flag football league...but I've owned 5 properties and have invested in companies in top top top floors in hartford sky scrapers...tht was by time I was 21...not bragging just don't know why hood would come off with my mark Cuban/Jerry jones style...flag football doesnt pay my bills yet lol..but cuz ima str8 shooter...I gotta respect your run with that many team in the league...
