TOPIC: Waterbury Team Asks to Join Our PLayoffs |

| Ive been contacted by a top waterbury team to get into our playoffs
As you have seen, ive always offered waterbury a chance to make our playoffs
Heres my solution
1.Waterbury will only have the oppurtunity to Get seeds #3-6 in our playoffs.
2.Waterbury is eliminated from 1st round byes and top 2 seeds. This is due to no common games played
3. Eseentially it would make our playoffs a "tournament" where all CT teams can make it
4.Waterbury will only have to the end of week 3 to make a decision
5.Waterbury will not be allowed cash prizes if they win..unless they contribute to the pool.
6. After the top 4 seeds are taken... The rest of the playoffs will be filled by the next best records in that conference
Although some people may not like it.. Its my goal to crown a true champion... no matter what league you play in... The top teams should meet in the playoffs... No sugar
Just would like to know your thoughts
Please leave any oppinions abouit waterbury out this post... But I would like this team to compete with the best.
At the end of the day I will make a decision...top 12 teams make Pro Playoffs

1. How much would we have to pay and how much could we win?
2. Will u schedule around our playoffs in waterbury so that we can play in both?
3. Can we still help out the teams we are on in Hartford for the regular season?

| it would cost you nothing as you have already paid chris.. But if you would like in on the prizes you can only win double what you want to put into the pot if you win plus ill give back ref fees paid.
i just got a call for an idea to schedulle around waterbury... i would just push games back to earleir in the day...or if waterbury is playing earlier ill push back to later in the day.
the person also advised me to keep to what i said and just used your teams records and make divisions ...and if you come or not we will take the next best record...
This would give the regular season more importance as it is a qualifier to make the state playoffs.
I would say that you can help hartford teams as their are actually two leagues... but when playoffs start...waterbury must submit rosters

i think that was a waterbury team tho trying to start controvesy....
This is not about customers... this is about making the playoffs harder... So if you dont enjoy making the playoffs harder... i suggest you switch leagues. Im willing to lose all my customers to make the playoffs harder ... sorry.. i dont want to run a cup cake league
with the addition of the knights showing interests... Im pretty sure its only going to be 2 teams total.. as most other waterbury teams do not want to take the challenge

| @ this point I say f@#k them. They missed out you gave them so many chances to be in our league and they didnt take it. All they said is GCFFA this and that. They made thier bed now let them lay in it. Sometimes loyalty is not the best thing espeacially when you know it was bad to begin with but yoi only stuck around because thats your friend. So my vote is no because they waited and now its bad. Let them learn their lesson. Lol

| I think that these no names are waterbuy loyalists upset that teams want to play here.... Like I said if you want easy playoffs this is not the league fr you.... Waterbury teams increase your cash prizes if they join...

My only question is this... if Waterbury teams do make our playoffs, does that knock a Hartford team out? Or does that just give an extra hartford team or two a first round bye?
I guess I'd need to know how many teams originally make the playoffs... if that makes sense?
Also, I definitely agree that'd you'd need to lock rosters of any team that plans to play in both

| the only two teams i want to add are the bulldogs and knights... who have already played in our league before...The other teams i dont feel really want or will come to play in this State Playoffs
Sooooo. it basicalkly boils down tto,
1.bulldogs and knights will be placed in each conference.
2. If they have a good enough record they will be able to take a wild card spot in the conference.. IOf ther record isnt good enough they will fail to make the playoffs.
3. I will add the Bulldogs and Knights to the site and the standings page
For those if any really dont like it ... all you have to do is play in waterbury if you want to play against easy teams... These are very very good teams and you should want to play them on meaningful games... And Crown a League State Champion
Thats always been my goal... and these two teams are legit... the other ones we can leave out.

| I for one have no problem playing these teams, and I think it's always exciting to have a deep playoffs...
I just think people are a little concerned about the validity of our regular season vs. waterbury's... and then the validity of our playoffs.
Some really good teams in our league could realistically be bounced from the playoffs because two teams, that played (in your words) against easy teams all season are taking two playoffs spots in a league they didn't even play in..
If you're going to add these teams to the playoffs with the theory that you want the "BEST" teams in the playoffs... Then you probably need to throw out the Divisions and just put the 8 best teams in the playoffs, regardless of conference, division, etc...
We all know that by the end of the season it's going to be very obvious that some teams played in a more challenging division/conference than some other teams..
Now you got me thinking BCS system with this shit haha

| its very clear waterbury playes in a much weaker lkeague, with the addition of so many indoor teams... The favor i ask is that if this is done... Even though they play in a weak league... we kind of know that they are good teams, and would have "most likely" made our playoffs... The only 2 teams it would effect would be the bottom 2 teams honestly.
The Knights, Bulldogs want to compete and beat anybody...but got caught up in a campighn where they thought every team in the state was switching to their league.. It diodnt happen and as true competitors.. I respect them and their interests to try to shut the CFFL and its crazy commisioner up lol
So yes they play in a weaker league but i want us to be honest with ourselves and say ... more than likely they would have made our playoffs
But you do have an excellent point

| kni8ghts and bulldoga are the only 2 teams that i know would make our playoffs most likely.. The other teams im not to sure about... so i sawe stop at thos two teams... as the other teams i feel would be average in the league

| Why not just add two more teams then, let all of our teams make the playoffs... and make the first round game against the waterbury teams be a "Play In" game.
for example...
Round one would be...
Knights vs 8 seed
Bulldogs vs 7 seed
then let the playoffs begin...
that way no one from our league can have a gripe about not making the playoffs... and if a 7 or 8 seed loses to a waterbury team... well then they can't say they should've been in over them in the first place..
does that make any sense???

| Thats sounds good russel but say Knights and Bulldogs win those play-in games earning the 7th and 8th seed. Do you really want the knights and bulldogs having the chance to knock off your 1st and 2nd seeds in the first round of playoffs?

| I think what russell said was great and makes the most sense but you should not just take the waterbury teams and make them play a playin game I think you stick them in where they end up in the seeding and then whoever ends up at the bottom plays that playin game it could be the waterbury teams it might not. How many teams make it in the playoffs as of right now without the waterbury teams?
