| n the goal to create true champs and allow for the most Competition.. The CFFL has created the Connecticut Cup Championship Series. The series would begin in fall and end in summer of the following year each year. Each year Series includes 4 Majors.
4 Majors:
Fall League Fall Winter Regional Tournament Spring League CT Cup Summer Championship Finals
Starting in Fall, each team will receive points based on their performances in each respective major. Teams will try to accumulate he most points to eventually make the top 16 in the CT Cup Series in the summer to crown a champion and a #1 . To get this rolling for this year, all 9 man teams in the state that participated in Waterbury, GCFFA, and the CFFL 9 man neagues from FALL 2010 and Spring 2011 have been added to the site (ctflagnow.com). You have to select the division C 2010-2011 CT Cup Series.
Based on your leagues standings, and who you have played , teams will be assigned points for their wins... As of right now
Current Formula
Wins x (Strength Of Victory x100) = {Points)
BENEFITS OF THE FORMULA
1.THIS FORMULA ALLOWS CREDITING FOR WINNING AND ALLOWS YOU TO GAIN CREDIT FOR ATTEMPTING TO PLAY
2.THIS FORMULA REWARDS BEATING GOOD TEAMS AND AND GIVES LESS CREDIT FOR TEAMS WITH WEAK SCHEDULES. WHICH WILL HELP TEAMS “WANT” TO GET A TOUGHER SCHEDULE
Today an official State Ranking should be released later Which will include all teams in All leagues
Only the top 16 teams will be allowed into the PRO DIVISION FOR THE SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS July 16th-17th 2011
Should be really interesting when rankings are released later... LETS SEE WHO MAKES THE TO[P 16!
all suggestions are welcome... All teams standings since Fall 2010 have been uploaded to the site (ctflagnow.com) CT Cup Division.
Again the series starts in Fall and ends in Summer with a #1 team and a Tournament Champion!
**This year ive included the standings free of charge to get it started, Next season league will have to sanction itself with the CFFL to get credit for those wins and losses

| i WAS ASKED TO GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF THE FORMULA
Since Fall 2010
Enfield bearcats
Wins
1. Oilers 7-9 2. Cowboys 0-2
Bearscats strength of victory (7-11) .388
So you take .388 (SOV) amd multiply that times 100 =38.8
Take the 38.8 and mutliply that times bearcats 2 wins= 77.7 points
Formula
Wins x (SOVx100)= points
2x (.388x100)= 77.6 points

| How does this work for teams that disband, or change names.. are you just going to carry it over (i.e. cowboys becoming gators becoming cowboys or Starrs becoming Bearcats)
Also, do teams have to play in all those leagues to be eligible, or do they just not get the points included if they miss a league or a tourney.

| Points will go to the Teams name. No you dont have to compete in all events.... Just enough to ensure a top 16 finish to make the "pro" bracket. Year to year that maybe different how many events you need to attend... we will see how it looks when current rankings are complete
