HOW ARE YOU GOING JUST OFF STATS? DO YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAMES? ARE YOU WATCHING WRS MAKING BLOCKS DOWN FIELD. ARE WATCHING O-LINEMAN DRIVE BLOCKING DOWN FIELD AND STAYING ON THERE BLOCKS WHEN THERES A PASS? ARE YOU WATCHING A RELENTLESS D-LINE/ ETC. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING? OPEN YOUR DAMM EYES.

Hey mike that's what stats do.... Guys don't look at the overall pressure, yes sacks are good . But when the Qb has no time to set his feet and throw on every down that's better than a sack... Makes a DBS life easy !

slow down "big mike" It's only been 2 weeks again some of you act as if theres 16 games schedule to the season. When you look at NFL Top 10 what do you think they rank them by? PRESSURE? Let's be serious. And where do you see anybody mention anything about O-Linemen? Are you reading "big mike"? And sorry if i didn't rank the WR's by their blocking ability not every team runs as much as Hit Squad, Franchise and Eagles why do you think some players only have about 2 rushing attempts? It's something to entertain the board guys so shut up and be entertained because if I didn't want to rank them by stats I wouldve just waited until week 7. RELAX

Its true though stats aren't the whole game. What about the down field blocking and overall playing team sport. Your just going on some numbers which is fine but they don't tell the whole story of the game.

Top 10 your right you should just stop you don't really seem to know football. Anyone can do your top 10 cuz it just looking on paper at some numbers. We need someone on the hill who watches every game just not some state sheet.

Of course there are many facets of the game however, positions are ranked by doing their MAIN job..yes a wr has to be able to block at times, but his job is to catch the damn ball!! a Dlineman can apply pressure but his damn job is to get sacks and pull flags..every role in every sport requires things be accomplished outside of their role but are always measured by their main role and it is called a statistical category. Folks need to stop attacking the statistical breakdowns, cause that is how all athletes are measured but it is the champion caliber teams that has players dominate statistically as well as the intangibles. If you have a problem with not being statiscally on any particular list continue to do the intangibles and hope it leads to a championship. Good luck to all...

another guy who doesnt have the numbers and wants the attention. hey in the league you dont get in the pro-bowl at WR for blocking really well all year. or on the DL for clogging up the hole all year. you want the attention your obviously craving then put UP SOME NUMBERS

@really agreed very well said.

Only stat that means anything is the wins. Stats don't win championships, wins do. So you guys keep arguing why your not on the list and go out worrying about your own stats while the real football players win a team championship.

Wins are the only thing that are important. From talking to a lot of players and coaches the league they dont even care about stats. It is cool to look at and it helps you with game planning but to decide who the players are it is not. The best RB may not get the ball enough if he plays for a passing team the best wide out may miss a couple games the best DL may get double teamed and the guy next to him looks like the hero. Its flag football.

Funny a guy that don't know the difference between stat and state tells me I don't know football. Being able to block as a WR is a plus but if you can block better than you catch why be a WR "Big Mike"? Do you think the NFL look at WR's running their routes and catching the ball or how good they block? Applying pressure as a D-linemen is good but producing a sack is GREAT. Answer this "Big Mike" and the no name: What good is applying pressure to QB's such as Rocket, Chris Roberts, Mark Moore and Troy Brown when some of their best plays come from being pressured especially against Rocket. All you have now is a QB that's getting first downs off of your D-Lines pressure. I could put 50 D-Linemen in 1 room and ask them what would they prefer sacks or pressure and I guarantee 49 of them would say sacks you'll be the only 1 that wants pressure "Big Mike"

sacks result from pressure. If you get pressure the sacks will take care of themselves.

Top 10 actually they do, Coaches do look at your route running, pressure, etc. Osi for example had hella sacks one year and lost his spot because team started running the ball at him and he couldnt stop the run. So yes stats can be misleading. Revis never have 8 int seasons but he still known as a lockdown corner. Honestly alot of these so-called analyst really dont know much, ya just be sounding like you do.

hahhahahahahahahaha did he just say most these scouts dont know what they are talking about? yeah they are making in the high hundreds of thousands of dollars plus a year and your playing flag football in hartford on sundays. yup they dont know sh*t.

Revis island? because qb's dont want to throw his way that is why he makes the pro-bowl because he is so good that he doesnt even get thrown at! usi lost his starting job because he couldnt stop the run. cmon man

I actually was recruited by D-I and D-II schools for WR/CB. I also played college ball. The corner opposite of me was an all-american (didnt have much ints either but was all-american) 3 of my coaches are now NFL scouts. One of my coaches now coach in the NFL. 2 Players from my team now play in the NFL. One is a DT (starting for the Chargers, He played DE and didnt even lead the conference in sacks but was drafted). Im not including people who i played against who where in high school now in the league as well.

im not going to run down my personal stuff but one thing i learned from college ball and learning to watch film for gameplanning is men lie, women lie, and numbers can be very misleading...

Hec is right usi lost his spot season before JPP.

Sorry hec but that background allbiet a good one and should be proud but would say that doesnt make you have an understanding of the game or its players more then them . most of these guys played itn the League or coached in it. or have been making a living off of scouting players. not just have been recruited by some schools and played with a few nfl guys

Dudes are cracking me up..Coaches use not only stats to base game plans on but also a players intangibles. Analysts.. praise players leading in stat categories and mention players who are not on the list as an "also" due to their success with the intangibles. League leaders go to the Pro-bowl as well as those that do the unmeasured things better then anyone else due to the number of players that make the Pro-bowl. When you look up the history of football (NFL) over the years if you didnt watch football, you would see only who dominated the stats by position and who wont that years SuperBowl not those that were great doing the "other" stuff. These things can be debated until everyone loses their breath, the fact remains this is flag and the only thing that matters is winning or championships. After the season the only thing left with be stats to solidify who really made a difference and who didnt and who won the ship. everything is doesnt really matter, does it?

Osi lost his spot because JPP is a better all around player. He can stop the run, bat down passes, apply crazy pressure and get he'll of sacks. And he can chase players from sideline to sideline. He's just better then osi. But Osi is a really good pass rusher. That's all he is not a complete DE. Just saying!
