This is your reminder that the final deadline for the OC Fall Flag Football Challenge is Saturday, 9/26!
A couple more notes:
- There will be bids to Orlando paid in 4-man, 5-man, 7-man and 8-man if there are at least 8 teams participating per style. The total prize (bid plus cash) for 8-man is at least $1000 with 10 teams participating.
- There is a $25 discount on the 4-man/5-man entry fee if an 8-man or 7-man screen team decides to play in both. Also, if your payment is in by the Early deadline for one style, you can add another style at the early rate as well.
- We will playing double elimination in 4-man and 5-man, and will split into A and B brackets if we have at least 6 teams in each. A brackets play for the cash, B brackets play for a trophy.
- Please pass this along to other teams who may be interested. Surprisingly enough, there are leagues who don't want to offer this information to all their teams, and are restricting their message boards.
- The host bar for the tournament is Duffy's on 130th Street, and we will be posting the 8-man and 7-man brackets there on Saturday night.
- The host hotels will stop giving the discount by 9/25, so book your rooms early. The rooms are discounted about $15-20 per night over normal prices.
- We will be selling embroidered long-sleeve t-shirts at the tournament for $12 each.

Registration Fees:
8man eligible: $495 before September 19, $575 until September 26.

| There is a discount if an 8-man or 7-man team wants to play 4-man or 5-man of $25.
The hotels will continue to offer the lower prices until Tuesday, September 29. To get those prices, you need to call the Holiday Inn Express (410-250-7800) or the Comfort Inn Gold Coast (410-524-3010) and say you're with flag football. The Holiday Inn Express is doing $95 queen rooms, $105 2 doubles with a pullout, and $120 king with pullout and jacuzzi tub. The Comfort Inn Gold Coast is offering $69 standard rooms (add $10 to overlook the Bay), $84 King with pullout, and $89 king rooms with whirlpool tubs.
There will be "B" brackets for 8-man Eligible and 4-man if there are at least 6 teams in both A and B.
I am projecting 4-man to play on Saturday morning. 5-man will play on Sunday morning. 7-man screen will do pool play Saturday afternoon and single elimination on Sunday. 8-man eligible will do pool play on Saturday, starting in the morning, and finish with single elimination on Sunday. Games will be on time throughout the weekend. I want you to be able to enjoy OC as well.
I will also schedule around teams that are playing multiple styles. There will be no forfeits due to players playing in more than one style.
The following are the teams I've been contacted with interest. If you are or are not coming, please let me know so I can give an accurate team list for everyone. Starred teams are in. I need at least 6 teams in each style to justify a tournament.
8-man (10): *HUH, *All-met, *North County AllStars (B), *Coleman Clan, Weekend Warriors (MD), DC Outcast, Brothers AC, Elite, Dolphins, USTC Warriors (PA)
7-man (2): *Duffy's, Carnage

| First, I've added a page to the www.theflagfootballchallengeseries.com website. Click on Supporting the Teams, and it tells you the basics to raising money so your team can go more places. I've included a few fundraisers we've used, and a basic letter template to give to a sponsor. My team has been able to pick up two sponsors this year for $2000 each, which makes travelling a lot easier. I hope it works as well for you.
Here is the team update for the Ocean City Fall Flag Football Challenge. The starred teams are in, while the other teams have expressed interest. If your team is interested, please contact me ASAP. If your team is not coming, please let me know so I can give the most accurate list as teams call in.
