This board is lit up now because Jey Jones is, has been and always will be a joke...if he was satisfied with is own shit he wouldn't keep coming on here repeating his phony baloney story
He has done well with 9-man which has changed hands on who runs it 6-10 times since the 1970's...he has something that nobody wanted or wants
He is mad cause he can't the 8-man eligible...no matter how much he lies and deceives people.
Try telling the truth Jey and admit your mistakes..usually you get a better outcome.

I have never seen a group of guys bicker like women. This argument is so pointless that it is embarrasing. On the one hand how can anyone get upset for someone else offering a different product. If the product is garbage then eventually the people that like the product will not like the product any more. The consumer has never been wrong...ask KMart (not very many) ask Wal-mart ( there are ton) if the consumer likes the product then they will continue to buy the product. I love playing in the DMV but we are so divided that it doesnt make any sense. Anything that is divided will fall. We are also selfish in the DMV, each league feels like they have the answer to flagfootball. The division in our area allows other leagues and areas to come in a pilfer our teams. What is the plan? Really there is no plan. As long as each league director feels that they have the answer then we could never work together. Here is my suggestion:
I think that we should have a flag football league in the area under one umbrella (Mid Atlantic Flag Football Association) Each 8 man league ( there is only two) function independently as there own league(league fees, game times, regular season pay outs and regular season bids) sort of like the NFL with NFC and AFC.Ely will continue to play there league games at their field and DMVFFL will continue to play their games at their fields. The only time that the two leagues will ever come together is to determine who is the champion of MAFFA. This is done by taking the top 8-10 teams in each league and having a double elimination tournament that will declare the MAFFA champion.

Each league still runs independently
We come together to play for a lotta points and respect
We start to show unity with losing individual creativity

I as much as everyone want whats best for the area. I think that we can come together for the area and still not lose our personal creativity. We just have to think outside the box. I would also like to have a choice as well. If we come to together and put out a great product as an area then people will come. We need to leave the egos and the money at the door and make this work. Hating on anything has never gotten anybody anywhere. This area makes up at least 50-60% of the A,B,C nationals. Lets start acting like it....if we do then the VA,GA,NC,Eastern PA, teams will come and we will get the different bump that we are looking for.

| Every tournament on the west coast is MCFFU. The West coast has more 8man leagues all over the place. The Vegas WC brings more teams from more regions than does Orlando and is getting bigger. Teams from MD and DC play in his tournaments including AMC on both coasts. Add to that all of 9man who's per team entry fees are double that of 8man and tournaments are doubling in size each event and a growing circuit. Do you think he or the MCFFU care what you think? If you have to lie to bring the man down then there is nothing you can do. All the while a hand full of teams in one league hating on them. U do what U do! LOL!
