| What a weekend of football we just concluded. Big ups to the DC Jets and the Lady Cougars for winning the Spring 2011 Titles. In the Men's Final, the DC Jets (Coach by Melvin Picket) drove the legnth of the field and kicked the game winning field goal with 5 seconds left in the game to defeat the Coleman Clan 3-0. It was a hard fought defensive battle, but for the second straight season, the DC Jets defeated the Coleman Clan in the Finals. The Ladies Title game was one to remember as the Lady Cougars (who defeated the Lady Playmakers) trailed Lady Allmet (who defeated Most Wanted on a fake field goal score) 6-0 with a few minutes left in the game. The power running game of the Cougars produced the game tying score with just over a minute left to play. Another successful power sweep to the left put the Cougars up 7-6. Lady Allmet drove the ball down to the Cougar 30 yard line but were haulted by an interception to end the game. Great Job Coach Glen and Donna from the Lady Cougars. You cats are the DC ELY Spring 2011 CHAMPS. Big Shout out to all the teams this season - ALLSTAR GAME, here we come. Stay tuned!
