SPECIAL EVENT RULES:

We want to make sure each game has a maximum amount of playing time / plays. So we are modifying some of the rules in an effort to speed up the pace of play and increase the number of plays run by both teams. Please read each bullet point below carefully as these rules will be used throughout the tournament. It is each team’s responsibility to know them prior to the start of the event.

• Teams will have 2 Time Outs per Half versus 3 Time Outs
o All Time Outs will be 45 Seconds in Length
o If game goes to Overtime, Each Team will get 1 Time Out per session. Time outs will be 25 seconds in length.
o Timeouts DO NOT carryover – Time Outs are not lost at any time in either half of play

• A 35 second play clock will be strictly enforced by the officials.
o The play clock will start at the stoppage of each play - Not when the puck is set. The puck will be set by the referees while the play clock is running.
o In the event there is a delay caused by the Referees, they will be responsible for allowing both teams the appropriate amount of time to start the next play.

Overtime Rule Changes

o In the event the game goes to OT, the coin will be re-flipped (this is normal)
? If the game goes past the second OT session, the coin will NOT be re-flipped. Possessions will continue to alternate equal possessions until a winner is determined.
o Each team will have equal possessions and be given 2 (TWO) Plays to score in each session – unless a defensive Touchdown ends the game.
o Each possession will start at the 5 Yard Line.
o If a team wants to kick for a field goal, it must take place during one of the two (2) plays the offense is given.
o Kicking or Playing for the extra point after scores will take place as normal.
