17u Gold:

Hidden Gems Black 17u took the top division of the top age group in the 29th Annual Hoosier Shootout. With 3 of their 4 bracket play wins being 1 possession games and 2 of them ending in overtime, the Gems were battle tested by the likes of Hidden Gems Orange, Queen City Prophets, Shining Star Sports (Price/Black), and Elite Skills Select throughout the entire bracket. Geoff Beans and Anthony Glover gained some more D1 interest as Manny Powell and others picked up some D2 looks.

Elite Skills Select made the Title game with wins over Ohio Phenoms & Team One. This is a well coached group who I will have to get more information on being a very underrated, quality team.

With the Cincinnati Royals, Shining Star Sports Price/Black, Hidden Gems Black, and Elite Skills Select, the entire Final 4 ended up being from Ohio. Factor in the Ohio Phenoms and the Queen City Prophets both being in the Elite 8 and 6 of those 8 were from Ohio as well. Its fair to say the Buckeye State was well represented in the Hoosier Shootout this year.

17u Silver:

DB Hoops Gensley ran thru the 17u Silver bracket with final scores of 81-39, 68-49, 15-0, a tough 69-57, even a plus 20pt victory in the Title game. It would have been interesting to see what this group could have done in the Gold Bracket with all the success they had in the Silver.

16u Gold:

2 Ohio teams made it to the Final 4 here as well as several other age groups. Shining Star Sports Schwallie upset All Ohio Black en route to a great run of play & the Ohio Phenoms defeated Queen City Prophets on their way to a tough matchup with eventual Champion Team Ontario(Team Red).

16u Silver:

DB Hoops Baum took the 16u Silver Title with a big 58-55 Win over SEMO Mission for it all.

Shining Star Sports McFarland made it all the way to the Final 4 matchup with SEMO Mission before bowing out in a hard fought battle.

15u Gold:

Queen City Prophets advanced to the Final 4 of the Gold bracket before losing to eventual champion Club Elite - Indiana.

15u Silver:

Hidden Gems Black 15u wins the Silver Championship with a 61-55 victory over NSA Celtics. HG Black has shown the capabilities of being a truly top tier team with wins this season versus Atlanta Lakers, All Ohio Red, Ohio Varsity, __________among others. With previously unheralded players like Max Huber of Hilliard Davidson, Ethan Guice of Whitehall, and several other prospects, Hidden Gems Black looks to closeout the season strongly as a top 5-10 team in Ohio and build toward their final 2 years of play.

Shining Stars(Thompson) made it to the Final 4 with a tough loss to NSA Celtics 55-61 to give Ohio 2 of the final 4 spots.
