Can anyone tell us new parents about the Sea World competition? Do you have to buy the spectator tickets ahead of time or can you just pay regular admission at the gate? Do they take yearly passes for this event?
Thanks

I was looking at the Spirit Cheer site and there is an order form to orde spectator tickets, but it said only one form per group/gym. From what I understood by reading, your spectator tickets gets turned into a designated person from the gym in exchange for your admission ticket to Sea World. I don't know for sure, so maybe, Sherry Babby or Faith could clear this up for us...

This information was pulled directly from the Spirit Cheer website below..
http://www.spiritcheer.com/events_championship_cheeranddanceopen.html

*With every participant and spectator admission you will receive a second day free to SeaWorld Adventure Park.* Compete one day and come back the next day for more fun and excitement! Call the Spirit Cheer office today for more information about pricing and the bids that will be given away to the new "All Level Championships" in April 2009.
*Participants, spectators and coaches are responsible for redeeming a second day's admission at the SeaWorld ticket area.*

Spectator Pricing:
$59.00 Spirit Cheer DOES NOT support yearly passes to Sea World.

And this is the form to purchase spectator tickets, which states only one form per organization...

If you are an annual pass holder you can use your pass for both days and there are no additional fees.

My husband just called and spoke with a gentlemen at Spirit Cheer. He confirmed that if you have an annual pass and you are in the park, there is no additional fees or tickets that need to be purchased to view the event. If you go on the website seaworldorlando.com you can purchase a one day ticket for $74.95 adult, $64.95 child and return all year with no black out dates for florida residents only. The $59.00 ticket that Spirit Cheer is offering is for two days only.

Hope this helps.

My daughter competed last year. The same format every year which you can purchase through spirit cheer or on your own. The ticket you purchase through spirit cheer and at the gate is the same. You purchase the one day and you have another day to enter for free up to 7 days after your purchase or upgrade to the annual for 10-12 dollars more and you can come anytime as many times you wish until the end of the year.

So do we have to buy a ticket for the athletes as well, or do the competition fees pay for this? So confusing....

The girls who are competing their tickets are paid for already. The only people or persons that need to purchase a ticket are those who are planning on going to the competition. Parents, siblings or whoever else. Just as if you were going to SeaWorld any other time. There is no seperate ticket for this event.
