| ok, so for english we had to write a "just because" poem for a quiz or something like that, well i chose cheerleading and i wanted to share it with you... the little ones wont understand it as much as the ones on my team but it will make sence over the years!!
Just Because I Cheer
Just because I cheer
Doesn’t mean that I’m stuck up
Doesn’t mean that I’m flunking school
Doesn’t mean I don’t have a life
Just because I cheer
Doesn’t mean I can’t eat whatever I want
Doesn’t mean I have to be stick thin
Doesn’t mean I’m anorexic
Just because I cheer
Doesn’t mean I mess with all the guys
Doesn’t mean I’m at a party here and there
Doesn’t mean I’m don’t have class
Just because I cheer
Doesn’t mean your sport is harder
Doesn’t mean you’re tougher
Doesn’t mean you’re better
Just because I cheer
I probably work harder than you
I probably have better cardio respiration
And I will prove to you that cheerleading is a sport

| Hey Brit,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your poem. I have a niece that doesn't understand cheerleading because of the particular cheerleaders at her school. This will definately make it to her email tonight!!!!

| lol thank you! i was talking to bobby gomez about this poem and he asked me to put it on the web site... i hope it touched some of the cheerleaders because i know the stereotype of cheerleaders.. trust me lol
