Is it just me, or are suspensions getting ridiculously frequent in softball. Does anyone know or has anyone gotten a full or partial refund on their season? I PAID to play softball, not sit out because an umpire may be having a bad day! And it seems one umpire has them more often than not!

I have been playing softabll in VV since 1992, wow 15 years. I have only heard of or seen about 3 suspensions in that entire time. I have seen umpires spit on, cars damaged, brawls on the field and the players continue to play. If they are handing out suspensions now for bad behavior, it is about time. It's supposed to be a fun rec league and yet people are willing to risk their lives, careers, family, and jail to fight over a game that means absolutely nothing. 150 million people don't even know your playing, how much is it really worth. Chances are if you got suspended you deserved it; you forgot that it was a game and for fun. You probably lost your cool and now have to suffer the consiquence for it. Hopefully, you learn something from it and act differently next time.

All i have to say is this game is for all of us to go out and have a good time. Angry at your boss or anyone pretend there the ball we have kids around here and they dont need to hear the language that is thrown around here sometimes i lose it to like last season i cussed after a game guess what i know what i did was wrong and i was suspended i learned my leason i also apologized to my team i let them down for a game and i apologized to the ump for what i did so guess what if you want to yell and curse go to your car and do it but if you get caught doing it expect to be getting thrown out. Also if you do get thrown out leave cause if you dont the game will be forfieted and you just caused your team a loss and thats not cool so remember go out there and have a good time.

The point I was trying to make was just that. I know the difference between cussing at, spitting on, threatning, fighting or anything else that evadellpower may have seen in his 83 years of softball in Victorville. I'm sure that we've all taken a bad hop to the shin or made an error on an easy play that we may let out a colorful word or two out of frustration! We're not meaning anything against anyone, just letting out frustration. I don't think that any one of us hasn't accidently hammered their finger working around their kids and let out a four letter word. We don't mean to do it, sometimes it just happens. All I'm saying is, just give us a break. I know everybody wants to keep it clean, but how about giving out a warning instead of giving players a quick hook...

I guess it's case to case. I'm not sure if you are referring to a recent event, but it seems like all recent events have been more than one angry slip. If the whole world can hear it, then you might expect to be run. I know some warnings have been issued as well. Families should feel comfortable at our games.
