Pirates cap unbeaten season with title at Valley College
The Pirates were able to top a depleted Creole line up paced by 21 hits and some solid pitching from Jerry Whitaker and Scott Disharoon for win #23 in a row and the title at LA Valley College. Augie Alonso had 3 hits, stole 2 bases and drove in 2 runs, Robert Reeves went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's, Jerry Whitaker scored 3 times and had 2 hits and 2 RBI's, Frank Gonzalez had 2 hits and 2 RBI's, 2 hits from Manny Travieso, Tom Kopp, Jose Pelayo, Roger Stewart and Emilio Lozano to complete the offense. Scott Disharoon got the win. The Pirates wish to thank the Creoles for a good game and thanks to the Mudskippers, Stallions, 45's and Grays for great sportsmanship and competition all season. See everyone next year.
