Casey Matthews big 8th inning double keys 'winders victory!
After the Reds tied the game at 7-7 in the top half of the 8th, Casey Matthews big 2 out, 2-run double leads the Sidewinders to victory. This was a see-saw affair all game. The Reds had many chances and did score, but Sidewinders starter Kaz Arakawa kept the damage as limited as possible. The Reds down 7-4, keyed by the Sidewinders Matthews (3 hits, including a homer), and Tony Walsh (3 hits) hitting, came back with a 3-run 8th as Jorge Martinez doubled in a run, then Richard Bettencourt (who also threw out 2 'winders at the plate from cf) doubled in another, and Efrain Zarmiento (3 RBI's on the day) singled to tied the game. A good close game by two evenly matched teams.
