The Suns behind Peter Maes take the Championship.
The Suns were helped by some Blackjacket errors and misplays, especially in the pivotal 6-run 7th inning which broke up a tight 4-1 game up until that point. Suns starting pitcher Peter Maes went 8 strong innings, only allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 8 Blackjackets. Maes also doubled and tripled to bring in 4 of the Suns runs, Brian Engler scored 3 runs and hit a dinger, and Brad Allen chipped in with 3 hits of his own. For the Blackjackets, Lance Hollandsworth had a pair of doubles.
