Stallions go to Championships!
In a hard fought playoff game, the Stallions took an early lead and never gave it up. Jack Sanchez pitched a sensational complete game, scattering his hits and ringing up decisive outs along the way. Both teams brought strong defense and allowed few walks. Down by 5 in the 7th, the Angels took advantage of a couple of Stallion errors to cut the lead to 3. Then, with the bases loaded and the tying run at the plate, the dangerous Steve Cooper, who had walked and singled twice in his previous 3 at bats, blooped an out to Frank Picha at short to end the rally. The Stallions offense was steady, led by a highlight day at the plate for Sean Lang who went 3-3 with a double; David Chambers scored twice with 2 hits, 2 RBIs and a stolen base. 6 of the 7 Stallion runs were generated from the top of the order.
