Bandits Edge Angels
The Bandits hung on to squelch a last inning rally by the Angels and advanced to the championship game next week. In a game that only went 7 innings with a back and forth score, the Bandits came out top with some clutch hitting. Dennis Clancy led the Banditos with a 4 hit day including 2 singles, a double and a triple. One more AB and the cycle?? Clancy also had 4 RBIs on the day. Mike Guise, John Scott, and Bob Sherwin each had 2 hits while Andy Schwindt had a web gem chasing down a fly ball with an over the shoulder catch. Schwindt also displayd the gun from LF by throwing out one runner at home and stopping another dead in his tracks. Jeff Gould, Jeff Wells and Jerry Whitaker split the duties on the mound with Wells getting the win.
