Behn's Complete Game Sends Brewers To Championship Game
Mark Behn pitched a complete game and kept the 1st place Diablos, a tough-hitting team, from ever mounting a serious threat against the Brewers. The Brewer lineup went right after the Diablos, with four runs in the first inning. The second inning was the only inning the Brew Crew failed to score. They had 23 hits on the day, everyone in the lineup contributing at least one, led by Matt Trites', Eric Cain's and Raul Verdecia's four hits, and Sandro Padron's three. But the story of the day was really Behn's gritty performance, which now takes the Brewers to the Championship Game next Sunday.
Hats off to a gritty Diablos team, who never stopped battling, and to Sean Mannion, their manager, and John Larson, who each had three hits on the day.
