LA Mets Advance to Finals with Win over Westlake Bandits
The Mets played inspired baseball on Sunday, jumping out to an early 10-0 lead after two innings. The Mets scored 7 more times in the 5th inning to put the game out of reach. Roarke Anderson scored 4 runs, went 3-4, and stole two bases to pace the Mets offense. Mike Fortunato pitched 5 innings in relief, allowing only 2 hits and 1 unearned run to earn the victory. The Mets now look forward to the championship game against the Fairfax Pirates on September 10th at Valley College. Congratulations to the Westlake Bandits for an excellent summer season.
