Hounds draw first blood, hold off Toros charge
Dogtown scored in each of their first four frames, giving Greg Frey enough cushion to seal the first championship in Dogtown club history. Andrew Dunsmore, Alex Ansoleaga, Michael Rivera, and Brad Urba led a balanced Hounds attack. Frey handled the details, stymying the Toros bats for most of the game. In the middle innings the Toros bullied their way back into the fight behind Peter Curriel's 3 hits and another Gonzo Gonzales hitting clinic. Gonzales was a homer shy of the cycle. Both teams played championship baseball, but this one went to the dogs.
