Twins Clinch Playoffs With Walk Off Victory
South Hills got on the board first when they scored one run in the top of the first. The Twins responded with two of their own in the bottom half. The Snappers took the lead 3-2 in the top of the fourth inning. In the bottom of the seventh, Clay Groff tripled in Mike Pfleger to tie up the ball game. The next batter, Kyle Lucot, then hit a fly ball over the center fielders head to bring in Groff for the winning run. Mike Pfleger tossed a complete game victory for the Twins recording four strikeouts and four walks. Matt McCartney took the loss for the Snappers, walking two but only striking out one batter. Both teams were productive at the plate, each team having 10 plus hits.
