Jays walk off a winner over Squires (again)
Day was crazy hot and both teams were ready for a dogfight! After playing three times during the regular season, all with Blue Jays' victories totaling less the 6 runs, the league knew it would be close. The Squires jumped to an early 3-run lead and quickly turned more mistakes into a 6-run lead. The Jays, never getting down, knew what had to be done. In the 4th, the Blue Jays finally got to the Squires pitching and started to close the gap. The Jays then took the lead in the 6th with timely hitting and great base running, only to have the inning thwarted via the old "Hidden Ball" trick for the 3rd out, effectively stopping the Jays momentum. The Squires came back hard to once again take the lead, jumping back in front in the 8th to go up 8-7. A hit here and there and it was tied going into the 9th. Then the Squires did what they'd done all day, they scored. The Jays scored 1 to tie... and with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs, Zo Jackson hit a 2-0 pitch that one-hopped the RF fence to win the game with a walk-off that sends the Jays to the Championship!!! One of the best games either team has ever been apart of!
