2026 Spring Registration (Ages 7 - 16)
OPENS Friday, January 30!
Registration Dates
- Opens: January 30, 2026 (9:00 a.m)
- Deadline: February 20, 2026 (11:30 p.m.)
IMPORTANT:
- Registration for the spring baseball season opens January 30 at 9:00 a.m. and will remain available until 11:30 p.m. on February 20
- Players and volunteers must complete the entire registration process BEFORE the deadline
- Only late registrations will be waitlisted and not guaranteed placement
- Online registration links will be available HERE on the HLL website and will go live once registration opens
- Registration is governed by Hoboken Little League; participants DO NOT register on RECDESK or through the Hoboken Recreation Department
- Players aged 3 - 6 are NOT eligible to register with the HLL baseball program and can follow Hoboken Recreation Department "RECDESK" to learn more about their program offerings
Pre-Registration Tips
- Review the HLL website in advance for specific requirements
- Information & all necessary documents can be found in the "Headlines" section on this website
- Gather necessary documents beforehand to complete your registration smoothly
- Early registration is recommended to avoid any last-minute issues
- Register BEFORE the deadline to secure your spot; registrations received AFTER the deadline will be waitlisted
- All participants must complete:
1) Registration on Blue Sombrero AND
2) “New sign up” on TeamSnap for the 2026 spring season
- Players interested in trying out for the Minor League (Ages 8-9) or Majors (Ages 9-12) must ALSO complete a separate online form to sign up for an evaluation session (“tryout”) BEFORE registration closes
- NO Tryout required for Coach Pitch (Age 7) & Minor Juniors (Ages 8-9)
- Players aged 10+ must tryout for the Majors (unless already placed on a team)

Before registration opens, families and volunteers can get a head start by:
- Gathering required player documents (birth certificate + residency verification)
- Completing the online Abuse Awareness Course (volunteers only)

📝 Required Player Documentation
Prepare documents in advance and upload to Blue Sombrero before finalizing registration
All players must upload to registration:
- Birth Certificate
- ONE of the following residency options (submitted annually):
Option A – School Enrollment Form (Preferred)
For players attending school in Hoboken:

- School report cards are no longer accepted
- Form must be completed with a school administrator

- Dated Feb 1, 2025 – Feb 1, 2026
- Three documents from the same group count as one

Returning volunteers may begin the Annual Abuse Awareness Course

Attention HLL 2025 Managers & Coaches
The District is sponsoring the annual FREE Coaches Clinic to provide instruction, mentorship, and best practices for coaches within our local Little League programs.
- Informational, instructional, and interactive, with coaches attending from Hoboken and other local Little League programs
- Returning coaches strongly encouraged to attend, especially those within the Minor League, Minor Juniors, and Coach Pitch programs
- All registered and returning members from 2025 coaching staff are eligible
Event Details
- Date: Sunday, February 8
- Start Time: 11:00 a.m.
- Arrival: 10:45 a.m.
- Duration: Approximately 90–120 minutes
- Location: St. Peter’s University – Yanitelli Center, 870 Montgomery Street, Jersey City; Please enter through the Yanitelli Center near the Montgomery Street main entrance
- What to Bring:
- Baseball glove
- Coaches only (NO minors)

⚾ Hoboken Little League Spring Baseball Registration – Coming Soon!
Registration for the Hoboken Little League (HLL) Spring Baseball Season will open late January through February for players ages 7–16; dates will be announced soon!
Summary of Spring 2026 Programs (Ages 7–16)
- Coach Pitch (Age 7) – No tryout; instructional, coach-pitched, non-hard balls
- Minor Juniors (Age 8) – No tryout; transitional program, non-hard balls
- Minor League (Ages 8–12) – Player-pitch; tryout required for new/rising players
- Major League (Ages 9–12) – Competitive; tryout required, limited roster spots
- Junior (13–14) & Senior (15–16) – high school play, 60/90 field; program format TBD
Save the Date
- Opening Day Ceremony & Parade: Saturday, April 11
- Anticipated Spring Season Start Date (Games): Mid-April; following Opening Day Ceremony
- Season runs mid/late April through mid/late June (varies by division)
REMINDER: Schedules/plans for the season will be shared after registration concludes

IMPORTANT UPDATE
2026 Mandatory Abuse Awareness Course for Volunteers
(NEW GUIDELINES)
Note From Little League International: The safety and well-being of all participants in the Little League® program are our top priority. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring a fun, memorable, and safe experience every year. All volunteers are required to complete the Little League Abuse Awareness Course annually. Little League International is proud to announce the launch of the NEW Little League Abuse Awareness Course, which replaces previous programs offered through third-party organizations like USA Baseball. It is specifically tailored to the Little League program and designed to provide a simpler, more effective learning experience for our volunteers.
COURSE OVERVIEW:
- The course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete
- Upon finishing, participants will receive a certificate, which must be downloaded and then uploaded to Blue Sombrero during registration
- Volunteers (new and returning) need to take the course BEFORE completing their registration on Blue Sombrero
Returning volunteers can begin completing the course now, so it’s ready before registration opens. HLL registration will be opening in late January - more information will be announced soon. In the meantime, the course, can be completed through the Little League training portal at LittleLeague.org/Training
Quick Instructions:

- Sign in or create an account
- Select the option for the "Abuse Awareness Course"
- Follow instructions to complete the course (approx 45 mins) & take the exam to receive a certificate upon completion
- Download and save the completion certificate in a safe place
- Once registration opens, upload the certificate directly to Blue Sombrero before finalizing registration
Important Reminder: This year, certificates must be directly uploaded to Blue Sombrero, per new Little League International guidelines.
