Congratulations West Allegheny Varsity Slow Pitch CHAMPIONS in Inaugural Season
October 25, 2009
West Allegheny participated for the first time in the slow pitch softball fall league, consisting of mostly class AAAA teams, that organizes by school district and is in it's 4th season of existance. WA had a varsity team consisting of 10th-12th graders consisting of mostly Oakdale players (10) as well as a few players from Findlay, McDonald (2), and North Fayette (2) that are students in the West Allegheny school district. The team was led by Manager Rick Bernardo who manages in Oakdale and is a board member. Next year we hope to facilitate the expansion of this program to a junior varsity and/or junior high teams.
