Brewers Win Championship
The 2 seed Brewers faced off against the 5 seed Pirates in the Championship game on Saturday, July 5 at North Strabane Park. The Pirates were dominating all game and were up 2-0, via 2 solo home runs in the 1st and 6th inning by Robbie Licht, going to the bottom of the ninth. The Pirates had Justin Galati going for the complete game shutout but the Brewers would spoil that. The bottom of the 9th inning was led off by Jake Davey with an infield single and then Mike Graziani followed with a base hit up the middle. Nate Higham was called upon to pinch run for Graziani. Dylan Coyle grounded out to get runners at second and third. This brought back up Jake Davey and on an 0-1 pitch Davey golfed one into the right center field bleachers and the Brewers won the first ever W.I.L.L Championship.
