Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do you become a board member?
You let the current board know that you are interested, you attend coaches meetings, our Annual General Meeting end of Spring season, you email or phone a current board member. All info contact information is on our website, and our web address is posted on everything that we hand out... www.leaguelineup.com/ctsa

2. How are PARENTS informed of meetings?
Meetings are announced on our website, at signups, fliers at the fields and emails to coaches. Emails to coaches urge them to share information with the parents on their teams. Signup dates for soccer are listed on our website, printed in the local newspapers, like The Duncan Banner, Chisholm Trail Shopper, etc. We send fliers to the area schools about signups. We can't force the schools to hand them out, but we make them available. If a parent wants to know and they can't find out through these channels of communication, they should become proactive. Call someone, ask anyone in town about soccer. I bet you'll get a board member's name, a coach's name or they know how to find out information about soccer.

3. Is CTSA a non-profit organization?
Yes, we are. CTSA's fiscal year is from July 1 to June 30. We are run by a board of volunteers. We pay referees and field painters. Most are under 18 years of age. No member of the executive board referees or paints fields for compensation.

4. What is Academy-style play?
Academy-style play will be implemented in the Fall 2011. It will be for players above U11. The reason the board opted to go this route was the lack of players in the age range between U12 and high school. There were not enough players to form organized divisions.

The following offices will be elected in odd years: President, Secretary and Registrar.
The following offices will be elected in even years: Vice President, Treasurer and the Risk Management Coordinator.
