A good way to get together some friends, nothing serious just pick up games.

The backstop was the first creation. 6 pallets on edge formed a 4 foot high wall. It was soon realized that 4 feet wasn't going to stop anything. So the wall grew up quickly in late summer and today the backstop stands a mear 12-14 feet high with 3, 6 foot floourescent tubes and 4 spot lights.

As the weather got colder that fall and football's started to replace wiffleballs one thing was clear, the 2006 wiffleball season couldn't come soon enough

The season came early that summer.

What compliments every field of dreams is ofcourse corn. So we did just that planted corn down the first base line "about 50 stalks"

We built our version of the green monster scoreboard in left field in front of the tan monster.

Some fencing was donated from the neighbors yard and installed along the right and center field walls.

The lighted Citgo Sign that adorns the center field skyline was installed over the tiki bar and grill.

The flag pole along the 3rd base line was also installed.

To the dismay of the fans the corn along the first base line was not getting enough light and was unable to grow. So the Mick Fenway team sought out new uses for the first base area....

The Mick Fenway grandstands were born!

By the end of the '06 season construction was well underway along the first base line.

'07 started out with a bang, MDA signworks donated some beutiful signs that were constructed in the off season. The John Hancock sign that adorns center field and the budweiser sign in the grandstand area.

However, what was realized after the '06 season was if you want to play in the big leagues then you clearly need a press box.

So the Mick Fenway team did just that we created our very own Broadcast booth, fully outfitted with music and announcing capabilities. (It wasn't until the beginning of the '08 season that it would be upgraded to the NESN Broadcasting booth)

Because of the growing demand at the ball park additional facilities had to be created to accomidate the increased fan base. "Ask and you shall recieve"

The Urination Station came to the rescue, allowing players and fans alike to never miss a minute of the action. With its location in straight away center under the citgo sign, you may be out of sight but not out of mind.

In Preperation for the 2007 playoff season new team benches were constructed as well as some fresh paint around the park on fences and bleachers.

The icing on the '07 season came with a lucky donations from the folks in Margaritaville with our beloved Landshark Lager banner, a real beauty!

.......

WOW...Where does the time go Its now April 12th, 2013...4 Years since I've looked at this page on my site and we haven't missed a season yet.  However I have lost track of the progress around the field.  We've added decking on the third base line, the license to chill bar and grill next to the bleachers on the first base line.  A garden in the corner of the yard to stay well nourished during a long season.

2012 was the year of the mighty Hurricane Sandy..The field suffered a pretty good blow, fortunately the season had already come to an end.  The backstop got knocked down as well as most of the wall along the third base line and right center field.

Its early May of 2013 now and all the walls are fixed and the backstop is slowing rising to knew found glory!  The first base line fence has been pushed to its property line limits and unfortunatly will stop expanding. Who knows whats next...Possible roof top deck in center field?
