Oakdale Youth League Project Updates

February 14, 2010
The Oakdale Youth League had two big projects that were completed before the season started. We renovated the Oakdale Boro Concession stand which included a new industrial fryer, shelving, stainless steel tables, a new stand up freezer, etc. and also raising and replacing the roof and cementing the back storage room, putting in a secure steel door, and steel roll down doors for the ordering area and the backroom. The cost of this project was covered by an anonymous donation that we received after the flood of 2004.

The 2nd big project was putting in a 30 ft flag pole in left/left center field at Oakdale Boro Park thanks to a generous donation from the West Allegheny Foundation. We had an opening day ceremony and an exhibition baseball game between Oakdale teams to celebrate these two projects.
