MEMO: To Columbus Day Tournament Participants

Tournament Rules
1. These are Nassau County Fields. There is no Alcohol, no smoking, no cursing and absolutely no fighting on any of the fields. These rules are strictly enforced and anyone who breaks them will cause their team to be thrown out of the tournament and not be able to come back again.
2. All round robin games are 9 innings and have a 3 hour time limit. No inning shall start after the 2:45 hr limit has expired. Playoffs and Championship games are 9 innings
3. Any game shall be legally completed after 5 innings if the visiting team is ahead and after 4 ½ innings if the home team is ahead.
4. There is no run rule.
5. Regular season Stan Musial Division 2 rules (MABL) apply.
6. Teams may use courtesy runners in Tournament play.
7. Speed up rule applies with 2 outs for the catcher.
8. Teams may bat 10 or more batters.

10. Playoffs

18+ Division

1.    Top 3 teams make the playoffs

2.    # 1 seed gets a bye

3.    # 3 seed and # 2 seed will play semi final

4.    Winner of # 3 vs #2 will play # 1 for Championship.

11. If the event we have rain and games get cancelled, it may become necessary to play games on Monday night..
12. Tiebreakers:

     1st Tiebreaker will be head to head.
     2nd Tiebreaker will then go to lowest runs allowed.
     3rd Tiebreaker will be most runs scored.

13. Umpire fees and balls are not included in tournament games. Umpire fees and balls will be included for Championship game only.
14. Once again, observe all rules and use good judgment.
