Philadelphia Eagles Announces LYAA as a Youth Football Partner
The Philadelphia Eagles announced they are teaming up with Liberty Youth Athletic Association this year as part of the team’s continuous dedication to helping develop a love of the game through youth football in the Greater Philadelphia region.

“The Liberty Youth Athletic Association Pop Warner Little Scholars Program (LYAA -PWLS) is extremely excited and grateful to have been selected by our Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles for the Youth Football League Partnership Program,” said Clifford Smith, President of LYAA-PWLS. “This partnership gives LYAA-PWLS the opportunity to further our mission of providing Philadelphia area young people the chance to learn the game of football in a fun and safe environment while providing memorable experiences with the world champs that will last a lifetime.”
Throughout the season LYAA will be participating in events with the Super Bowl LII Champions. Stay Tuned.....Go to our photo album section to see some of the events LYAA has participated in so far.
On June 26 LYAA and Upland Hurricanes had a season kickoff by inviting children to play flag football. The children were provided jerseys, footballs and flags. About 75 children and coaches came out to play and help celebrate the return of football in LYAA. We also honored our late league president Clifford Smith by presenting Coach Sleepy with a commemorative football from the Philadelphia Eagles in his honor & memory
In 2021 LYAA lost our President and dear friend Clifford Smith. Cliff was a longstanding LYAA board member. During that time, he was also the Founder and President of the Parkside Saints organization. In addition, Cliff was a coach and mentor since the late 1990s with the Frankford Chargers before organizing the Saints in 2010. Cliff took future coaches under his wing while impacting hundreds of young men and women during that span. He will be dearly missed by all.
The Philadelphia Inquirer wrote a beautiful story about Coach Cliff link is below:
