Organizations like JSJAA only work because we have a great group of volunteers.  If you are interested in coaching in any way, whether it be a head coach, assistant coach, or even just a practice coach, you will need to fill out a volunteer application, complete the required PA clearances, complete the CDC concussion course, and the mandated reporter training.

We are also looking to hold a coaches training/meeting and first aid training, because there are some new rules in the new league this year.

It is the policy of the JSJAA board of directors to ensure that all youth involved in the program are safe and protected; therefore ALL persons in direct contact with children will be required to complete the criminal checks.

PA Child Protective Services Law changed effective January 1, 2015.  The law now requires all youth organizations like JSJAA to provide State Police Criminal Record Checks, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Check ($27.50) (only required if the volunteer has lived outside of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the last 10 years).
