What to Expect
Here are some aspects of "What to Expect in a Typical Week" during a regular season.
- Three events per week. For example, a week might have two practices, and one game. Yet, another week might have two games and one practice. There are some exceptions, but it is most common to expect three team events during a week.
- No Sunday activities/events.
- Travel to-and-from games/practices is provided by each player's parents and family. Locations/Venues for each game are provided on that team's schedule.
VARSITY Teams (Grades 9-12)
- 20-30 regular season games.
- participate in the Maryland Christian School Tournament (MCST) which is an end-of-season tournament.
- Travel Tournament - the East Coast Homeschool Basketball Championships is hosted at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. The Frederick Force competes in this annual tournament that is sponsored by HSPN.
- Players should arrive 45 minutes early for Varsity games.
JUNIOR-VARSITY Boys Team
- Approximately 10-15 regular season games.
- This team is organized as a sub-set of the varsity team. Both varsity & JV players will practice together.
- In addition to participation in the regularly scheduled JV games, the coaching staff may also ask JV players to dress for the varsity games.
MIDDLE SCHOOL Teams
- 15-20 regular season games.
- Member of the Maryland Independent Athletic Conference (MIAC).
- Early season tournament with MIAC. This is a local tournament.
- End of season tournament with MIAC. This is a local tournament.
- Players should arrive 30 minutes early for MS games.
Season Costs (for the 2018 - 2019 basketball season)
High School Player Costs:
$300 Season Fee
$15 Practice Jersey (mandatory, unless you have one from previous season)
$25 Warm-Up "Shooting Shirt" (mandatory)
