Frequently Asked Questions



----- Registration-----

Question: If I register online do I have to make a payment?

Answer: No, you have options to bring your payment and the required paperwork to one of the Registration events or you have an option to mail it in via the USPS.

Question: If I miss the Registration event how can I register?

Answer: Please use the Online registration system to register your child.  You may either mail your payment and the required documentation or bring it to the first practice.  Your child will not be able to practice without the completed documentation!

Question: Can my 2nd grader play tackle football?

Answer: We will make exceptions to allow 2nd graders play tackle football as long as (1) We have parent consent (2) The CCJS Board approves (3) your child can demonstrate athletic abilities that will keep them safe and allow them to succeed in the program

Question: We chose to not enroll our child in kindergarten because of their birthday, can I enroll them in Flag Football?

Answer: With parent and Board approval, an exception may be made.

----- Equipment -----

Question: What equipment is supplied and what equipment do I need to purchase?

Answer: 

Football players will be supplied with a helmet, 1 mouth guard, shoulder pads, rib guards, a practice jersey, a game jersey, practice and game pants with built in pads. Cleats, an athletic cup, gloves and any other extra optional equipment will need to be purchased. 

Cheerleaders will be supplied with uniforms, bows and warm ups.  Sneakers, socks, under tops and boy shorts will need to be purchased, information and pricing will be provided in the first week(s) of practice.

----- Season -----

Question: When does the season start?

Answer: The Football and Cheerleading season starts the first week in August.  Practices in the month of August are Monday - Thursday from 6pm - 8:30pm (Flag ends earlier); Starting in September when school starts practices will be Tuesday & Thursdays 6-8pm & Saturday 9-11am

Question: When does the season end?

Answer: The season ends in October, depending on how well they do there are usually 2-3 playoff games following the regular season so please talk to the coaching staff before planing any vacations in October.
