#13 Our Hero Andrew Keller
Andrew Keller was a leader on the football field for the Southridge Skyhawks and was voted most valuable player by his peers in 2007.
Andrew joined The United States Army two years after graduation. As a man driven to test his inner fortitude, he joined one of the Army’s most elite infantry units, the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team. Andrew lived up to his high personal standards and graduated Airborne School at the top of his class.
Andrew lived The Army Values before he even became a professional Soldier. These values are: Leadership, Discipline, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. It was his character and his superiority as a Soldier that compelled his Commanding Officer to promote him to the position of Team Leader ahead of his peer group. Shortly after being in country, Andrew volunteered his team for a mission. It was while leading his team on this mission that Andrew made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
