Shock...Shock...Shock'em STATIC...yOu KnOw!

5-27-12: The Cincy Static 10U (neon) continued their tournament season with a third consecutive week of making it to the final championship game of a tournament as an undefeated #1 seed. They finished 2nd overall in the Gold upper division. They led 2-0 almost the entire championship game, only gave up 2 hits and played GREAT defense up until the 6th inning when 2 consecutive errors allowed 3 unearned runs to score with two outs for a final of 3-2. The team is now 25-2-1 overall....Great job ladies!!!
5-19-2012: The Cincy Static 10U (neon) went 4-0 and were still undefeated on their season going into the championship game of the Tealtown Showdown. After a 21-0-1 start to the season they suffered their first defeat of the year in the championship game of this event. You can see by the expression on their faces that second place just isnt acceptable to this team!
5-13-2012: Congratulations to our Cincy Static 10U (neon) team for their first place finish at the Spring Tune up in Harrison, OH!!!

The 18U Cincy Static competed in the 17th Annual Invitational Orland Park Sparks College Exposure tournament from July 16-19 in Elgin, IL. We limped into this tournament but still competed fairly well making it to Sunday and finishing between 10th -16th in the 50 team strong 18U division (final results have not been released yet). We are quite pleased with this performance considering we had 3 girls injured and unable to play in this one.

This tournament had over 1200 of the best players from all over the country. The teams in attendance were some of the most competitive teams we have seen all season. This is why so many college coaches attend this event each year. Thanks to Robert and the Orland Park Sparks Organization for inviting us and for putting on such a quality event...we really enjoyed it!The 18U Cincy Static competed in the 17th Annual Invitational Orland Park Sparks College Exposure tournament from July 16-19 in Elgin, IL.

The Cincy Static 18U College Exposure team headed to Nashville, TN June 9-13 to play in the Music City Hits College Exposure Tournament. The team played the event short with only 9 players due to an injured pitcher and catcher that did not attend. They were lead by a phenominal pitching performance by Emily "Fultzy" Fultz. The team played five pool games to start the event. In game one their opponent was the Kentucky Bluegrass Bulldogs who they defeated 3-0. In game two they faced The Next level out of Colorado and defeated them 3-2. Game three was a 2-0 forfeit win against the Alabama Bombers. In game four they faced the Ohio Stingrays (Marcum) and defeated them 3-1 and in game five they faced the Tennessee Firebirds who became the eventual Music City Hits Champion and lost 2-0 in a heartbreak game that was 0-0 in the 6th inning for a 4-1 record after pool play and a #2 seed into elimination play. In elimination play they faced the #4 seeded Alabama Midnight Express and defeated them 5-0. The team was defeated by the Sapphires ina game they lead 1-0 late when the error bug hit. This game determined the team who would move on to the final four. The Cincy Static 18U finished somewhere between 5th and 8th overall in the 18U ASA "A" division. The team was happy to contribute to an economy that was devastated by flooding recently. The Nashville Sports Council did a great job to be able to even have the event. They usually choose 66 teams to attend but due to this years flooding devastation and half the fields still unusable it was limited to just 45 top tier teams.
Four of the Cincy Static teams participated in "Heatin It Up" in Wilmington, OH June 25-27. The 10U team coached by Dan Bemerer finished in second place and had one of its players put one over the fence. The 11U team coached by Les Rogers finished in third place in a large 12U division. The 12U team headed up by Kavin Morgan was undefeated and finished in first place in the 12U division. Kavins team had three balls leave the yard...one of which was a grand slam! The 18U team coached by Sonny Ross was also undefeated and finished in first place in the event as well. Sonnys team was led by solid pitching, good defense and timely hitting.
2009 18U ASA A NATIONALS IN BLOOMINGTON, IN
The 18U Cincy Static competed in the Music City Hits College Exposure Invitational Tournament from June 10th-14th in Nashville, TN. This tournament invites 66 teams in three different divisions, 16U, 18U and 18U gold. These 66 teams were some of the best in the country as indicated by the amount of college coaches in attendance. Our team achieved the highest seed of all Ohio teams in attendance coming out of pool play with a #3 seed. It turned out that our pool was the toughest as our first two opponents in pool play ended up meeting eachother in the final championship game of the tournament. The #3 seed came back to haunt us as the team from our pool who received the #4 seed made it to the final. This was a team that we beat 6-0 in pool play. Thanks to Erin and the Nashville Sports Council for inviting us and for putting on such a high quality event...we had a blast!

Cincy Staic 18U College Exposure Team Is Born...Fall Ball 2008

This was the birth of our original Cincy Static 18U College Exposure Division which was created by Sonny Ross. This team competed in 18U ASA "A" tournaments as a 16U team and did well. In their debut as a team with players representing 11 different high schools and covering a wide radius they went undefeated in their first fall ball league. The team lead by the pitching of Allie Alvey threw several no hitters and a couple of one hitters and only gave up 2 earned runs in 10 games. They had an astounding team batting average of .471 in that league.
