February 2019 Board Meeting

CF:      Need to get goalie gear, 2 sticks, 2 chest protectors.  Will open up another My Team Shop time. Have 7 new gloves – will order after tryouts- 16 freshman this year. Have Helmets to sell.  Decals:  CF to follow up. Still waiting on confirmations on game times for spring break.

·         Scholarship requests (6 players)   Amy to send out email.  

 

·        Feb 28 - Uniform handout after school (in PE 101) and pictures 4:00 at DRHS and then film.

 

·        March 1 - Parent meeting / Dinner in DRHS cafeteria .  Sonja to follow up with Antonio’s for pizza, request parents to bring drinks and deserts.   

 

·      Reminder email- School lax registration

 

·         Missing payment communications

 

·        Paperwork for spring break, needs to be turned in 2/29, request library for meetings.

 

·        Spring break meeting March 4, 7pm in DRHS library. All players and a parent to attend.

 

·        Insurance (private) for drivers in San Diego

·       Beach day Tuesday: Belmont Park Friday before departure (approved by CF)

 

        SB Vans secured

 

·        SB goodie packs donated: T-shirts, lip balm, water bottles (thanks to senior moms)

 

·        Flight tickets for SB, need numbers with coach's and possible scholarship players

 

·        Spring Break cost at $1150pp for 3 coaches and 25 players

 

·        budget for senior night: plan is for vinyl banners for ea. Senior (currently about 13 +2mgrs), flowers

 

·        Senior night planned for May 3, Monarch

 

·        Banquet date confirmed for Sunday, May 5, start time 5pm and Amy to clear date

 

·     Budget for banquet, gifts (coach, seniors and managers)

 

·      Sherri continuing scripps – spreadsheet cleanup and then passing off to new parent volunteer.

·        Player refunds - those who are not going to play in the spring

 

·        Outstanding balances - players who have paid in full & players that have not made any payment yet

 

·        Payment due on 2/11 for airfare

 

·        Foothills was paid $1855 on 1/25

 

·         2 registration forms have been submitted to SportsEngine for creation: Spring Break Trip ($1150) & 2019-20 Registration (no fee collected)

 

·        Registration form for banquet - need 5 days’ notice to get it created.

 

·       Scholarships for Spring Break trip

 

·        Taking over KS & Scripts – new parent volunteer

 

·         49 players registered – hoping for 10 more

            A good amount of inventory was sold at Oct meeting

 

 

 

Tasha –

 

Ball boys?  Paid in socks and Pinnies - Tasha to follow up with south jeffeco.  DRHS men’s LAX Contact info updated to new Board Members.

CF :   Equipment and apparel – player , coach and manager apparel  request.  Practice on Wednesdays at 5:30 am

starting now at Foothills.    Ensuring all players logged on to google classroom, per CF requirements for grades

(player eligibility). Registration approx. 50 players.  Equipment requests: balls and horns, possible 2 portable

creases.  Need an inventory count? Varsity and JV to combine during practices.  Foothills facility rental fees

addressed.  Tryouts start 2/25 at 5:15 am.  No practice on 2/13/19.

2.      Setting up a Team Store for optional player and fan apparel- opening soon for one week

 Coach Foot (CF)  - Easton Field 1 or 2x a week thru fall, try to focus on one day to accommodate other kids with fall sports.  CF to talk to Easton. Re field pricing,  Fall Farmer Fest, JV and Varsity.  Off season –  Need 30 to 40 kids
