2008-2009 Athlete of the Year


Malorie dela Cruz -  Valhalla High School Athlete of the Year.
Malorie's four years of excellence included a record setting 131 consecutive conference wins and consecutive league singles championships. She also lead her team to three straight undefeated league championships and its first ever appearance in the CIF team finals. Not only an athlete, Malorie also maintained academic excellence, earning CIF All-Academic 1st team honors.

Valhalla defeated Granite Hills 10-8 to finish 10-0 in the Grossmont South League as dela Cruz won her 132nd consecutive conference set. The senior began the school-record streak during her sophomore year.

Homecoming 2008


Carly Cody, Tabatha Rood
and Thao Vuong were selected to the Homecoming Court. Having three girls from our tennis team in the running for Homecoming Queen was wonderful. We were also well represented behind the scenes making the entire night a terriffic experience for everyone.
