What is Central Maine Lacrosse?

Central Maine Lacrosse was formed in 2009 to develop, promote, serve, and administer the game of lacrosse in the central Maine area. The club is affiliated with both US Lacrosse, the national governing body of lacrosse, and Maine Lacrosse, the Maine chapter of US Lacrosse. The club is also a member of Maine Youth Lacrosse, which coordinates the youth leagues in the state of Maine.

The club's purpose is two-fold: 1) to encourage, support and assist in the growth and development of instructional and travel lacrosse programs; and 2) to provide education, training and licensing opportunities for players, coaches and referees participating in the sport of lacrosse.

The non-profit club is managed by its Board of Directors and governed by its by-laws. The club is open to all central Maine area youth in grades K through 8. The club's programs run during the Spring lacrosse season, which begins in April and ends in mid-June.
