Brill Millers 8, Proctor 5
Proctor made its first appearance in the WBA Playoffs in just the second season of the team's existence. The Padres took a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning over the 2008 Independent League Champions on a two-out error, three consecutive walks, and a grand slam by rightfielder Bob Baxton. Starting pitcher Anthony Bush left with a 5-4 lead after six innings. Relief pitcher Joe Collier took the loss, as he was touched for three runs in the seventh inning. Baxton and designated hitter Buddy Carlson had two hits apiece. Brill won two more playoff games before losing in the quarter finals to LaCrosse, the eventual state champion.
