The Upper 13 League employs the same rules as Major League Baseball, with the following exceptions:
Limited Substitution -- A starter may leave the game and re-enter providing he is replaced in the same spot in the batting order. The substitute must play one full inning. This means six (6) outs. Three (3) on each team. The starter may re-enter the game one (1) time.
Designated Hitter -- A designated hitter may bat for any player in the lineup. The defensive player may enter the ball game but only in the designated hitter's place. This will eliminate the designated hitter. A designated hitter, once removed for another designated hitter, may not re-enter the game except as a courtesy player.
Mound Visits -- The pitcher, after two trips to the mound in the same inning, can still play defense. After six (6) outs he can pitch again. The next visit he cannot pitch again, but he can still play defense.
Ejections -- Any player ejected from a game will recieve penalty set by commission of league officers and both managers after review of incident. Meeting will be held within five (5) days of ejection.
