Commitment

Cheerleading is a HIGH commitment sport.

Before going forth into the season, it’s important that parents, guardians and athletes understand the time, dedication and effort cheerleading entails. Cheerleading is not a sport like basketball where substitutions can be called off the bench to cover for another player. By the first week of practice, cheerleaders will become established on their team and have individual roles and responsibilities. The success of the team relies greatly on attendance and punctuality.

Please make sure your participant is confident in their ability to display a positive attitude, sportsmanship, and respect to leaders, respect to the team and respect for themselves.

The Ayer-Shirley Youth Football and Cheer is a traveling sport organization. Away games and competitions may require own transportation or financial support to the program to provide transportation.
