How the teams are distinguished at competition:

Teams are placed in color division which coaches decide. The divisions are in place for our athletes as they begin learning basic safety and technique and then continue onto further skill progression. The goal of progression is for the team to learn skills, succeed a skill and move onto the next logical skill that follows. One must master a basic skill then work toward the next challenge.

WHITE = beginner skills (ex. cartwheel -> round off -> back walkover)

RED = intermediate skills (ex. round off -> back handspring)

BLUE = advanced skills (ex. round off -> back handspring -> back tuck/layout)

When color placement is decided, the ENTIRE team is kept in mind. The coaches decide based on the skill level from the majority of the team. In example: one child with a 2nd level back handspring on a team with a majority of those with a 1st level cartwheel may be entered in a WHITE division to ensure safety and that the team competes with similar teams executing similar skills. Color placement is not a JUDGEMENT and should not be taken offensively. Safety is always our number one priority and teams will be placed in their appropriate color division.
