Volunteer to be on the FBCH Board!!
Frederick Baseball Clover Hill Parents and Supporters:
We are still in great need of your support. You have heard us say that we are 100% a volunteer organization, only two years into building this organization that began with a combination of parent volunteers from a previous league and a group of new parent volunteers that were eager to create a new league and opportunities for our children to develop and play competitive baseball. In this short time FBCH has come a long way in creating the league structure, generating the finances to run the league and rehabilitating a great venue that in our opinion has the look and feel of when we ourselves played youth baseball.
As the youth baseball cycle continues, several of our parent volunteers have moved on, and several more will move on after the spring season when their children move on to the next level of baseball. Similar to T-ball and Rookies taking in new children, the league needs to take in new parent volunteers to manage and maintain our youth baseball league and who will take FBCH into the future. Your support on the board or participation on the committees is what this organization needs in order to continue to grow and prosper.
If you have experience or simply an interest in any of the areas listed below and are looking to get more involved please let us know. There is the opportunity to jump right in with both feet by becoming an officer or to tip toe in by becoming a committee chair or participating on a committee. Social Coordinator/Committee Chair - The committee is responsible for organizing League activities such as opening day, spring picnic, special events such as tournaments, and opportunities that promote community awareness and involvement (such as soup drives, coat drives, recycling events).
Volunteer Coordinator/Committee Chair – The committee is responsible for organizing volunteer support and activities required for the organization. S/he will coordinate and work with the Team Moms to secure volunteers needed for concessions, field preparation and clean-up for games and FBCH sponsored events at our home field.
Concession Coordinator/Committee Chair – The committee is responsible for oversight of concession stand operations to include menu planning and coordinating and purchasing the necessary supplies for scheduled home games and sponsored tournaments/events at our home field. The committee chair coordinates with the volunteer coordinator to ensure volunteers are secured to support events.
Fundraising Coordinator/Committee Chair – The committee coordinator is responsible for establishing, coordinating, promoting and administering all fundraising activities for the league.
Field Maintenance Coordinator/Committee Chair (we are losing our current field maintenance coordinator after the spring season is completed) – The committee is responsible for securing the materials required to keep the fields in optimal playing condition and ensuring the maintenance of the fields throughout the season. S/he is responsible for scheduling the opening and closing of field activities each season.
Sponsorship Coordinator/Committee Chair – The committee is responsible for establishing, coordinating and promoting partnerships with businesses and service organizations. The chair is responsible for soliciting and securing local sponsorships to support league operations through funding or other types of donations and coordinating with the fundraising committee to organize sponsor focused fundraising activities.
