Player of the Day- Mike Graziani, of the CBG Doughboys, hit a stellar .796 average on the day by going 39 for 49 at the plate. He also hoisted the ball over the fence 9 times on the day and earned all 3 wins on the rubber for the Doughboys.
Game of the Week- The Noodles fell to the Doughboys in one of the worst games of the week of the year. Periscope filming was the worst of all and only lasted for the top of the 1st. We apologize and will have tripod ready to go for next weeks game. Graziani did it all for the Doughboys, as they completed their sweep of the Noodles.
Other Notes- The Crabs and Booze battled it out for just one game today. Booze came out on top of the divison foes, 10-7, as they put them selves in a good position to take the regular season division title. Da Fatz picked up their first win of the year in game 2 of their series versus Step Dads. Lou Krivaneck was the heroic Fat, as he hit a walk off 2 run homer to left for the 3-2 win. Not much else as the season is on the other side of the mountain heading down, we still got tight races to make playoffs and seeding. Check out them Division Standings on our website. Next and final scheduled day is Wednesday, July 12.
Day 7 Recap
Standout Teams- Unfrozen Caveman Lawyers had 6 games on schedule, but only got 5 in due to time, and they won them all, 2 of which off of the Jager Bombs which was a crucial series for them. Bow's on First girls acquired wins 4,5, & 6, by going 3-0 on the day, all of which forefits from the Lil Boats.
Player of the Day- Steven Keelon, of Crabs Wiff, was the standout player for the Crabs in their key division series win over the Master Batters. He went 12 for 16 in the 3 games and had 5 home runs. Steve also earned 2 wins on the rubber on the day.
Game of the Week- Big Game? For sure! The currently placed 2 and 3 teams in the north faced off for a good one! The Crabs pitched their ace, Keelon, and same for the Master Batters, who tossed T. Marra. It was a pitchers duel but a couple costly errors in the last inning by the Crabs defensive outfielders led to a Marra and Morris home run. The Crabs battled back in the bottom half of the 5th, with home runs from Keelon and Serafino, only to fall one run short. Batters took game 2 by the score of 6-5, but that was the only one they could snatch as the Crabs took games 1 & 3.

Day 6 Recap
Standout Teams- Step Dads ran through their schedule untouched, going 3-0 on the day. They were the lone team that went undefeated on this wild day of Wiffle Ball, a couple of teams just had 1 loss though. That list included the Master Batters and Splunkers.
Player of the Day- Justin Davey slugged his way to player of the day honors for Day 6. He hit for an incredible average of .800 (12/15) and homered for 7 out of his 12 hits. He led the revamped Splunkers to a 3-1 record on their first day with the new roster.
Game of the Week- The Beavers, in their first game as the top power ranked team, faced off against Booze on First in Day 6's Game of the Week. In the bottom of the first, Booze on First came out firing with 11 runs put up. Castelli and Davey were the lone team members in attendance for Booze and they both homered a multitude of times. Beavers faced a mercy rule each inning but always seemed to avoid it and played all 5 innings. Final score ended up being 13-6 in favor of Booze, as they handed the Beavers their first loss of the 2017 campaign. The pitchers that earned decisions in this affair were, Jacob Davey who earned the W and Cal Wilson got the L.
Other Notes- Power Rankings will be jumbled up next week for sure. All of the 5 teams in the rankings lost at least 1 time. Master Batters earned a key division series win on Sunday, as they took 2 of 3 versus Booze on First, the top dawg of the North Division. Master Batters also earned a big win over the Beavers, which helped out CBG Doughboys until they fell to the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyers. The Caveman were led by Matt Kelley in that game, who hit 4 home runs in the game. CBG came back strong though to take down the Crabs in an inter-divisional showdown on Periscope, 6-3. Things tightend up in divisional standings, ecspecially the north, check the standings out by clicking here. Splunkers, of the South Division, also have a revamped roster and it showed to have worked in their first day, can they keep it up in divisional play? Time will tell as the next day is June 28 as we return to North Strabane Park.
Day 5 Recap

Player of the Day- Christian Stewart, of the Step Dad's, had himself a day on Wednesday. He hit 8 home runs, 4 doubles, and had a .777 average over his 3 game series versus the Crabs. He also snapped the Crabs 10 game win streak by hitting a walk off home run in game 1 of their series.
Game of the Week- One of the most exciting Games of the Week all year long was played this past Wednesday. North Division opponents, Step Dad's and Crabs, faced off in this 5 inning affair. Step Dad's jumped out to an early and commanding 6-0 lead after 3 innings of play off home runs by Kiger, Stewart, and Sylvester. The Crabs did not go away though. They clawed their way back and regained the lead after 4 innings, 7 to 6. In the 4th Coyle had a huge 3 run homer and also shut down the Dad's in the bottom half in order. After another Coyle and Morgan home run in the top of the 5th, the Step Dad's had seen the tides turn as they were now down 11-6. Then it got interesting. Home runs came blasting off the bats of the Dad's in their last chance, Kiger belted 2, Stewart and McClelland each boinked 1. Then Stewart came up with a chance to hit tie the game, but the Crabs pitcher, Coyle, would have to say otherwise. A long fly ball drifted towards the center field wall as the crowd started jumping, but Crabs right fielder, Clopp, got under it to make the game ending catch at the wall. Crabs pulled out the 11-10 victory in that game. The teams split the other 2 games of the series.
Other Notes- Booze on First went down for the first time of the year. Unfrozen Caveman Lawyers took the last game of their series 13-10, barely fending off the last inning rally of Booze on First. Game of the Week- The Unfrozen Caveman Lawyers routed the Step Dad's in an old fashioned 2v2 matchup. Wuenstal and Hannen, the duo for the Caveman, each blasted 2 home runs, as they won 13-3 in just 4 innings. Step Dad's pitched Sylvester all 4 innings, he picked up the loss, but also credited 2 home runs to his name from the offensive side of the plate. Wuenstal was the winning arm. Beavers handled them easily in the first two games. Crabs dominated Wiffenism all 3 games and they are on a 10 game win streak. Make sure to stay in the know by following our Twitter @wiffislife.
