Welcome to the Connecticut ASA / USA Hall of Fame

The Connecticut ASA/USA Softball Hall of Fame is the ultimate goal for any player, coach/manager, umpire or administrator who aspire to greatness in the sport. With over 500 Inductees, the Connecticut ASA/USA Softball Hall of Fame was established to recognize these individuals.

Hall of Fame Application:

Hall of Fame Player Nominee

A player nominee shall be retired from competition for a minimum of 5 years, with the waiting period being waived should the nominee be 50 years of age or older.

Any Individual who had an outstanding softball career in Connecticut is eligible for Hall of Fame consideration, with emphasis being placed on State, Regional, and National Tournament play.

Hall of Fame Service Awards

The "Hall of Fame Service Award" and "The Distinguished Service Award" were honors bestowed on individuals who have contributed to the game of softball in a capacity other than a player.

In 2004 "The Hall of Fame Service Award" and "The Distinguished Service Award" were renamed to the "Joseph T. Barber Distinguished Service Award" in honor of the long time International and National Hall of Fame State Commissioner Joseph T. Barber.

The "Bernie Iassogna Hall of Honor" Award was first presented in 1986 in honor of the National Hall of Fame umpire Bernie Iassogna and is presented to a slow pitch sponsor, manager, administrator, or umpire.

Nominee's Application should be submitted electronically to the Hall of Fame Committee chairs prior to April 1 each year.
