PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JARED VANDERHOOF, LONG ISLAND ASTROS
Jared Vanderhoof (STAC) takes home the Player of the Week Award. The speedy centerfielder went 7 for 8 in two games against the Seminoles. He recorded 3 doubles, 5 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases in Saturday’s double header.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
SAL RIZZO, LONG ISLAND THUNDER
Salvatore Rizzo (Mount St. Mary’s College) defeated the Storm on Saturday by tossing 5 scoreless innings while striking out 4 batters. Rizzo also threw a scoreless inning in Thursday’s game against Titans Blue.

RYAN MARTIN, LONG ISLAND ASTROS
Ryan Martin (Iona College) receives the Rookie of the Week Award. The incoming freshman hurled 5 scoreless innings during the week against the Diamond Spikes and Seminoles.
