Head Football Coach

Coach Shane Sams is entering his first year as the Head Coach for the Centennial Knights. Before coming to Centennial, Coach Sams served as the Offensive Coordinator for Warner Robins High. During his time at Warner Robins, the Demons appeared in back-to-back State Title games and won back-to-back Region Titles. In addition, he coached the wide receiver that broke the GHSA record for the Most Reception Yards and the quarterback who was the GHSA Single Season Passing Leader. Prior to Warner Robins, Coach Sams served as the Offensive Coordinator for Chapel Hill and New Manchester High Schools. Villa Rice High School is where Coach Sams started his coaching career while attending the University of West Georgia. Coach Sams is a native of Warner Robins, Georgia, where he was a member of the 2004 State Championship team. 

School pride, community involvement, student-teacher relationships, and college recruitment are all aspects that Coach Sams is passionate about prompting. He is always available to students, teachers, parents, and community members that have positive suggestions for the football program.

Coach Sams, his wife and high school sweetheart, Kylie, and their son, Barrett (aka Bear), are excited to be Knights!!
